Steps to Success - #1

In order to see results you need to have a plan.

This plan can be a loose outline or a strict plan depending on how things work for you. And if you dont know what works try things out.

In order to be fit you need to do only two things:
1. Eat healthy
2. Exercise
... I know, easier said than done. But with me guiding you it will be made easy.

To make/follow through with this plan there are steps:
  • 1. Make a goal- Do you want to lose a certain amount of weight? Do you want to just work until you feel good without the scale? Its all personal preference.
  • 2. Make a workout regimen- This should include both cardiovascular/aerobic and strength workouts.
  • Cardio/Aerobic= an activity that involves the use of large muscle groups at moderate intesities which allow the body to use oxygen and maintain a steady state for over a few minutes. Some examples of Aerobic exercises are - Biking, Swimming, Running/Jogging, Walking and even activities like mowing the lawn or playing with children.
  • Strength= Activities that build up your muscles and sculpt your body. These exercises target specific muscles and make them stronger. Examples of strength workouts are - squats, pushups, crunches, plank, lunges and lifting weights.
  • 3. Count & Eliminate extra Calories out of your daily diet - We tend to not realize that all the little snacking here and there adds up and is a great contributor to unhealthiness. Track what you eat each day for about a week and at the end of each day, evaluate what you ate and cut out the bad stuff. Keep tracking your food until you feel comfortable and if it helps, keep a journal to track your food in throughout the whole process BUT dont get crazy counting calories! This is just to make you more aware of what youre eating. There will be a separate post all about eating healthy.
  • 4. JUST DO IT! - Find out what motivates you, set a date of when you want to see results by, grab a friend to do this with, think of the beach, whatever you have to do just follow through with a plan that works for you and get started ASAP.

Face it... its almost summer time and we know everyones rushing to get into shape...

I dont have some magical pill to fix this problem but i know first hand how to get into shape and live a healthy lifestyle the natural way! I will make it an easy process by updating you guys daily with new workout and food tips! Soon enough you will reach your goal and feel great about yourself and i will help you keep it that way!

So add this to your favorites, tell a friend and check daily because I am going to get this process going and pretty soon you will be satisfied with yourself even if you have 5 lbs to lose or 500!
